Foreign economic activity (FEA) – the activity of economic entities of Ukraine with foreign business entities based on the relationship between them that takes place both in Ukraine and abroad.

The following legal regimes were implemented according to the law for foreign business entities, who operates in Ukraine:

• national treatment, which means that foreign business entities have the scope of rights and obligations not less than the scope of rights provided for the residents. National treatment applies to all kind of foreign business entities economic activities related to their investments within Ukraine, as well as for export and import operations of foreign business entities in the countries that are included side by side with Ukraine to the economic unions;

• Most Favoured Nation Treatment (MFN), which means that foreign economic entities have the scope of rights, preferences and privileges that are applied toexport duties, taxes and charges that is used or will be used by the foreign business entities of any other countrywhich is provided with the mentioned treatment mode , except the cases, when specified duties, taxes , fees and benefits for them are established under a special regime, as defined below. MFN is provided on the basis of mutual agreement between the entities of other countries under the relevant Ukraine contracts and used in foreign trading activity;

• special treatment is applied to areas of special economic zones and to areas of custome unions, which includes Ukraine, and in case of any special treatment introducing in accordance with international agreements with Ukraine.
